About
Dharma Mudranalaya, doing business as Dharma Publishing and Dharma Press, was founded by Tarthang Tulku to protect the Tibetan heritage. It began operations in 1963 in Varanasi, India, and continues since 1971 in California, now based at Ratna Ling, California.
Since its beginning, Dharma Publishing has been the biggest publisher of Tibetan Buddhist texts in the world, primarily because of its phenomenally large production of Tibetan texts for the Tibetan communities in exile. In addition we have over 125 titles in the English language, plus 33 books for children, called Jataka Tales.
All books and art have been printed by Dharma Press, also located at Ratna Ling.
We are a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the culture of Tibetan Buddhism while contributing to the Western understanding of mind, well-being and human potential. All gross income is dedicated toward the preservation of the Tibetan heritage, mainly in the purchase of printing paper.
